Who we are

Nyval AI is operated by Uchenna Fabian Onovo, a sole trader, who is the data controller for the personal data described here — we decide why and how it is processed.

What we collect

• Account data: your email address and an encrypted password hash.
• Profile data you enter at signup: goal, age, height, weight, optional muscle or skeletal mass, body type and activity level.
• Logged entries: the meals and workouts you type, dictate or photograph, plus the estimates and daily scores derived from them.
• Saved Q&A: answers and conversations you choose to save in the app.
• Technical data: IP address, device and browser details, and basic usage logs needed for security and to keep the service working.
• Support messages you send us by email.

Why we collect it

Only to run the app: to estimate your calorie and protein targets, score your days, generate coaching replies and show your history. We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising or cross-app tracking.

Legal basis

We process your data to perform our contract with you (running your account and the features you use), on the basis of our legitimate interests (security, fraud prevention, fixing and improving the service), with your consent where we ask for it (for example camera or microphone access), and where required by law.

Who we share it with

• Service providers that host the app, store data and run the AI features.
• Paddle.com, our Merchant of Record, for website sales, subscription management, payments, tax compliance and invoicing. Apple and Google for purchases made inside the mobile apps.
• Professional advisers (legal, accounting) where needed.
• Authorities, where we are required by law.

Security

Every table is protected by row-level security keyed to your user ID, so your entries are readable only by your own signed-in session. Text and images you submit for parsing are sent to our AI provider to generate the estimate and are not used to train public models.

Email

We send account and service email only — such as password resets and subscription confirmations. There is no marketing list.

Retention and deletion

Your data stays until you delete it. You can delete individual logged items in the dashboard at any time. To delete your entire account, email the address below and we will remove it. Data we no longer need is deleted or anonymised; billing records may be kept as long as tax law requires.

Your rights

You can ask to access, correct, delete or receive a portable copy of your data, object to or restrict our processing, and withdraw consent at any time. You can also complain to your local data protection authority. Email us and we will respond within one month.

Children

Nyval AI is not intended for people under 16, and we do not knowingly create accounts for them.

Not medical advice

Calorie, macro and burn figures are estimates produced by models and formulas. Nyval AI is not a medical device and does not diagnose or treat anything. Talk to a qualified professional before making significant changes, especially if you have a health condition or a history of disordered eating.
